By accessing and using the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) Online Registration Portal and related services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
- "ETC" refers to the Electronic Toll Collection system and all related services.
- "User" refers to any individual or entity that registers for or uses the ETC service.
- "Tag" refers to the ETC device installed in the vehicle for automatic toll collection.
- "Account" refers to the user's registered ETC account.
3. Eligibility
To use ETC services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a legal resident of Sri Lanka or hold a valid visa
- Have a valid NIC or Passport
- Own or have legal authorization to use the registered vehicle
4. Registration
By registering for an ETC account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your information as needed
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
5. Account Usage
- Each ETC tag is registered to a specific vehicle and is non-transferable
- You are responsible for all toll charges incurred using your ETC tag
- Maintain sufficient balance in your account for toll payments
- Report lost, stolen, or damaged tags immediately
6. Payment Terms
- Toll charges are automatically deducted from your ETC account
- Top-up payments are non-refundable except in cases of system error
- Failed transactions due to insufficient balance may incur additional fees
- We reserve the right to modify toll rates and fees with prior notice
7. Prohibited Activities
Users shall not:
- Tamper with, damage, or modify the ETC tag
- Use false information during registration
- Transfer or lend the ETC tag to unauthorized vehicles
- Attempt to bypass toll payment or exploit system vulnerabilities
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
8. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Use
- Your account remains inactive for an extended period
- Fraudulent activity is detected
- Required by law or regulatory authorities
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim
- We are not responsible for delays due to technical issues, force majeure, or third-party failures
10. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and materials on this platform are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be:
- First addressed through our customer support
- Subject to mediation if unresolved
- Governed by the laws of Sri Lanka
- Subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts
12. Changes to Terms
